Assemblages with Orange Chair
Using discarded household objects to create small installations. Exploring the subtle movements and actions which change the way we inhabit a space. Creating boundaries and building walls with hard, manufactured materials, but incorporating softness, warmth and comfort through a fiery orange. Using largely transparent materials, allowing the gaze to pass through objects, creates a space with little volume or substance, with the exception of the soft children's chair. The objects reliant on industry for purpose and function have lost presence in comparison to the colourful, solid furnishing.
